Thrill, mysticism & natural splendour in the Himalayas

The Himalayas are famous as being the home of Mount Everest; the highest peak in the world – an impressive mountain surrounded by an entire mountain range, many of which are nearly as tall as it! One of the most challenging environments on the face of the Earth, it attracts thousands of visitors every year. Some come to see it, others to attempt to conquer it. However, as majestic as Everest is, there are many other sights, sounds and adventures to be had in the Himalayas…

It is a rewarding experience to ride the rapids and survive; of course guides and safety gear will help to ensure this happens.

This area of India is famous for having some of the highest passes in the Himalayas. Ladakh is also a fantastic spot for trying paragliding. Whether experienced or a novice there will be a spot for you to launch from. Gliding gently down from 13,000 feet is an experience of a lifetime!

Chadar Trek

As the name suggests this activity is aimed at those who love to trek. There are several established routes through the Himalayas and it is the best way to appreciate the beauty and wonder of this massive mountain range. The trek is exceptionally challenging, you will face ice pits, high mountain passes, massive stones blocking your way and even large areas of marshland!

Himachal Pradesh

If you are an excellent skier you may wish to be flown fourteen thousand feet into the Himalayas and released from the helicopter onto the powdery snow, free to make your own way down. Himachal Pradesh is one of the ultimate thrill seekers spots and is rapidly growing in popularity.

In winter the slopes of several of the mountains in the Auli region are covered with fresh snow and offer perfect skiing conditions. The surrounding forests help to keep the chilly wind down to a minimum and the slopes are meticulously maintained; making them perfect for novice or expert skiers.

Mountain Biking

There is an established mountain bike trail which is guaranteed to get your adrenaline flowing.  It follows the high passes from Ladakh to Kullu as well as the highest drivable road in the world. This trail crosses the western side of the Himalayas and offers unrivalled views of nature at its best and worst!
